Northern Gators!

This is a northern that I caught while kayaking. My serene kayak adventure turned into a pretty wild ride, fish slime, and getting my hand slashed----all in a day's fishing when chasing monsters :)

Latest Fish Carving Completed

This is my latest wood carving. With temps ranging from -10 to -20 for the high each day, staying busy indoors has been imperative :)

Unit 3 Crime of the Century and Ratings

The Crime of the Century activity was relaxing this morning, but I still cannot figure out why it is called the name that it is given :)

My rating for the physical self is at a 6 as I am still recovering from a knee injury. However, it has been getting progressively better, which will allow for longer work periods to be endured.

The psychological and spiritual selves are at an 8 today as I was handed a lesson and a half on how to fish walleyes effectively by someone who I respect. Seeing him in his elder years have the enthusiasm and passion that he had every time we fished together today made it worth it to have a humility lesson dealt. I only hope that my spirit strives as strong as his does when I am his age.

Unit 2 Journey On Activity

Hello Everyone,

Here I am in another term and writing about the Journey On Activity. It always amazes me that no matter how many times I complete this activity, I always notice something unique about it. This morning as I sipped my coffee and listened to the redwing blackbirds calling to one another, I realized further of how lucky I am to be able to be within an environment that supports such tranquility. Just another grateful moment :)

Have a great weekend!

Unit 2 Journey On Activity

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to share my thoughts about the Journey On activity as this activity never gets old for me no matter how many times I have listened to it. As I listened to it once again this morning, the only thing I could think of was the sunset last night. It was a beautiful yellow-golden color that helped me feel at complete ease as I watched it sink into the horizon---just beautiful. When accompanied by the songbirds that have returned and the geese flying overhead, it was a great culmination of the tranquility promoted by the Journey On activity. Although a bit lengthy, the activity continues to be great!

I hope all of you find some benefit directly or indirectly from it as well.

Unit 2 Journey On Activity

Hello Everyone,

I completed the Journey On activity this morning before the hustle and bustle of the day began. I have tried it at other times of the day, but I find it most rewarding to listen to as the sun comes up. This tranquil setting allows for a better relaxation, even when the weather outside is frightful (+51 on Thursday and -5 this morning). The Journey On never really gets old for me as it seems that I find something new that is valuable each time I complete it.
